The True Meaning of Christmas meets Easter Sunday

Sorry, since I've had kids I've had less time on Holidays. I've been careful to work on them having the spiritual experiences that I felt growing up having deep meaning on special holidays like Easter Sunday.

I was that today. Telling my kids, and my sister-in-law's kids about how today represents the true birth of Jesus Christ. April 6th, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints had General Conference . . there are plenty of keywords there for you to find it . . . that is the true day that Jesus was born in Bethlehem.

Easter is always on Sunday, have you thought about that? I celebrated the true day of His birth in my heart, but why is it always on the Sabbath?

Apologies for being short, I'll be back to add more. Long day, making certain that today was my kid's day to start to learn what I learned about this, this especially, special Sabbath day.

This year I made a ridiculous video instead, lol

The Birth of Jesus Christ is what I celebrate this holiday. There are many traditions that are universal beyond Christ. Some Christians like my father claimed (he's passed) that all the universal traditions about this holiday were terrible and just in the way of the the holiday to be watered down.

I tried to ask him if he felt this was an evil design. He's shrug his shoulders and say he doesn't like Christmas. I'd ask him if he thought it was commercialism of a sacred holiday. He'd shrug his shoulders and say he didn't like Christmas. Couldn't ever get a straight answer, unless I wasn't listening and I was disagreeing when he really did have an answer.

So that's my addition to the concept of a true meaning of Christmas this year. My father's, "I don't like it." LOL. It's important to share these things, even if it's not inspiring.

What don't you like about Christmas?

  1. Now I've made a video that's much more a joke than the serious spiritual feelings I have for the Holiday, lol. https://youtu.be/lLMy5xkmu4Y
